In 2017, the theme was ‘Futures Past: South Asia Then and Now’. In 2018 it took place at the University of Sheffield with a focus on ‘Voices through History’. In May 2019, it took place at the University of York under the title ‘South Asia: Exclusion, Dialogue, Exchange’, featuring multiple parallel panels, contributions from academic partners, and a fascinating keynote presentation from Professor Sarah Ansari.

The organisers of this year’s event are: Benjamin Holt (Leeds), Meena Menon (Leeds), Dr Radha Kapuria (Sheffield), Zaynab Seedat (York), Tom Shillam (York), Arunima Theraja (York)
